Image Comics Presents THE FEEDING: A Spooky Appetizer For A Hungry Halloween.

Eisner and GLAAD Award-nominated writer David M. Booher (Rain) and fan-favourite artist Drew Zucker (The House), the team behind hit fantasy comic book series Canto, are teaming up again for the new horror one-shot comic book The Feeding from Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics. Debuting this October, the oversized comic is a throwback to self-contained horror and sci-fi stories in the vein of Tales from the Crypt, Creepshow, and The Twilight Zone.

The Feeing sets up a surreal journey into one man’s disturbed psyche. Nolan Ward has done everything to forget his disturbing past. Drinking. Drugs. Day-Trading. Sex. And still, that past has caught up with him in the form of a twisted painting called The Feeding…that eats people. And it’s hungry. Can Nolan stop this demon or will he be devoured like so many others before him? Readers will go on a surreal journey into one man’s bloody psyche…to a place and time when art is dangerous and no one is safe. Booher and Zucker are joined by Vittorio Astone on colours and Andworld Design on letters to bring this terrifying tale to life.

“I’m thrilled to celebrate spooky season with The Feeding,” said Booher. “I grew up on horror stories, so it’s a treat to work with my buddy Drew Zucker to create this creepy love letter to series like Tales from the Crypt and Creepshow. Huge thanks to comics champion Chris Ryall with Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics for helping us bring this labour of love to a wide audience. Halloween is just around the corner, and readers are in for a bloody treat!"

This looks like a great addition for anyone who likes their one-shot or anthology horror tales. Easily sitting alongside your collection of The Bone Orchard Mythos and Tale of Halloweennight.

The Feeding will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 23 (FOC is today):
