Today is the national Stoner holiday of 420, yes, many of us here at MacabreDaily smoke the “devil’s lettuce” as we enjoy our horror, but there have been many horror films, and characters in those films who passed the douchie on the left hand side. So, in honor of today’s festivities, and before I get completely stoned, in no particular order, here are…
MACABRE DAILY’S TOP 10 STONERS IN HORROR
LEPRECHAUN
This little dude has been through a lot and when he ventured to the “Hood”,not once but twice, things got even wackier. He even has a poem for his adventures with “Dr. Green Thumb”. “A friend with weed is a friend indeed, but a friend with gold is the best I'm told.”
2 & 3. Chucky And Tiffany - Bride Of Chucky
Yep, those crazy dolls got into the herb during “BRIDE OF CHUCKY” and passed around a joint after killing some unfortunate soul. Hey, a couple who smokes together, stays together.
4 & 5. Chili And Chuck - Friday The 13th Part 3
Now these two stoners were a few years older than the rest of the camp counselors in Friday the 13th part 3 but they still knew how to have a groovy time. Sadly, like most people who visit Camp Crystal lake, the only baggie they saw was the inside of a body bag when the night was over.
6. Martin “Marty” Mikalski - Cabin In The Woods
Martin had it all figured out before everyone else. He knew shit was going sideways the moment him and his friends stepped foot in that cabin. So of course he got as high as a giraffe’s ass and he had one of the coolest bongs in cinema history, the mug/bong he used was epic! Here’s to you Marty, you were a real one.
7 & 8. Ed And Shaun - Shaun Of The Dead
It may not have been said outright but Ed and Shaun were total stoners. Ed even admits he sold weed to his asshole roommate and sparks up a joint at the end of the film when he is about to be eaten by a horde of zombies. The jokes and hijinks these two both get into during the course of the film is a classic example of stoners being put to the test by zombies…and life.
9, 10, & 11. Anton Tobias, Mick, and Pnub - Idle Hands
Talk about a stoner movie about best friends and one has to think of 1999s Idle Hands. The film has tons of weed references and even in Anton’s speech at his friends funeral, he lays it down how they used to get high as hell together on his couch. "Mick, Pnub, I'll never forget all those times we sat around, watched TV and got really, really stoned. And all those other times we just... Well, I guess that's all we did." Now these are some guys we could definitely hang with.
12. Bill Freeburg - Freddy Vs. Jason
Bill was just a bystander at a rave when all hell broke loose and Jason shows up to mutilate a few helpless teens. Never fear tho, Bill had some of the wacky weed on hand throughout his nightmare with Freddy and Jason. He even got so stoned he fell asleep and was possessed…and later ripped apart. Maybe this was a case of being TOO stoned.

13. Ash Williams - Ash Vs. Evil Dead
Right from the first episode of Ash Vs. Evil Dead, our hero, Ash Williams, gets pulled back into the world of the Necronomicon and the deadites when he gets stoned with a random girl and starts reciting from the very book that caused him so much grief at that cabin so many years ago. The actor who plays Ash, Bruce Campbell, is an avid smoker in real life and we wouldn’t expect anything less from the groovy one himself.
Welp, that’s our list and now it’s time for us to pack a bowl, get some munchies and a beer and relax with some horror flicks. Enjoy fellow stoners!
