Macabre Headlines: Female Employee's Body Found In Arby's Freezer

Some are saying it was only an accident, the police chief says “it’s still an open case.”

Police are investigating a "suspicious" death after a female employee’s body was discovered inside a freezer at an Arby’s this week. New Iberia Police Capt. Leland Laseter told WDSU-TV that officers responded Thursday, May 11, at approximately 6:30 p.m. to the Arby’s on East Admiral Doyle Drive for reports of a body in the freezer. The employee was declared deceased at the scene.

Laseter called the incident "unusual" and said the woman’s death was likely an accident rather than a homicide.

According to KADN-TV, the victim worked at the Arby’s where she was found. KLFY-TV reports she was a manager.

Police reportedly interviewed several Arby’s employees as part of the investigation and are awaiting autopsy results.
