Alexandre Aja's "NEVER LET GO" Gets A New Poster!
Alexandre Aja and Halle Berry are teaming up for what looks to be one helluva mountainous creature feature this fall, and a new poster has been released given us a slight look at what is to come in September. Aja is know for his work as one of the pioneers of the New French Extreme movement, and is the creative force behind modern classics such as Haute Tension, The Hills Have Eyes, and Crawl to name a few. Berry has been absent from the horror scene since her turn in 2003’s Gothika, and seems to be turning in a more maternal and feral performance in “Never Let Go”.
The new poster doesn’t offer much in the way of creature design, but it does lean into the concept of the film’s namesake with the use of the rope dangling off the front. Given the trailer doesn’t divulge much in the way of story, it’s hard to say what we can expect, but what does seem apparent is that “Never Let Go” is giving off Arcadian and A Quiet Place vibes. If Aja brings his penchant for gruesome horror and tension to this production, we may very well have ourselves one of the best horror films of the year, but we will have to wait until September to be sure!
Synopsis: From visionary director Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Crawl) and the creative minds behind Stranger Things and Arrival comes NEVER LET GO. In this new psychological thriller/horror, as an evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother, played by Academy Award® winner Halle Berry (Actress in a Leading Role, 2001 – Monster’s Ball), and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond. Needing to stay connected at all times – even tethering themselves with ropes – they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival.
