You truly connect not only with their struggle of trying to survive the insane world around them while barricading themselves in their home at night. You see their bond grow as the movie plays out and you get the feeling that as long as they stay together, the monstrous creatures that stock their world at night will never try and destroy what they have. It shows that with Cage as the catalyst in any movie, he can really draw his talent and spread it throughout the entire cast he works with.

Besides the amazing acting in this movie, one thing that also stands out in this movie is the unique look that the creatures have. They seem to be a cross between a werewolf and an insect, which is something never seen on screen before. When these creatures are brought to life on screen with a high level of realism, their terrifying presence transcends mere imagination, instilling genuine fear in viewers. Every sinewy muscle, jagged tooth, and haunting gaze contribute to its chilling authenticity, making it feel as though it could leap from the screen at any moment.
