'BARBARIAN' Star Georgina Campbell Reveals If There Will Be A Sequel To Last Years Hit Film

Georgina Campbell is the spotlight as of late with her work on Bird Box: Barcelona and Krypton, the lady is busy but she did take the time to discuss whether or not we’ll get a sequel to the film ‘BARBARIAN’ she starred in last year for director Zach Cregger.

Talking with Comicbook.com, the actress reveals that sequel talks did indeed happen but it looks like the film is a one and done stand alone. "Zach doesn't want to do a sequel. He's very much, it's stand-alone, it was really good, and I think sometimes with certain things, that's the best way to go," Campbell told ComicBook.com. "He is the creator, the writer, director, so he knows. That's his thing, he doesn't want to expand upon it, so just leave it alone."

Welp, that’s a bummer considering the film did amazing numbers at the box office and seems to be a hit amongst the horror community as well.

Barbarian grossed $40.9 million in the United States and Canada, and $4.5 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $45.4 million, against a production budget of $4.5 million. This would seem like the perfect storm for a sequel but we shall see if Zach Cregger changes his mind, just don’t hold your breath.
