Could We Get 'NOPE 2'? - Jordan Peele Teases More Stories Live In The Nope Universe!
Jordan Peele is a fresh new director and has only completed three films. Yet, every film he has done has crossed the $100 million mark at the box office and it looks as though the director is a force to be reckoned with when he gets behind the camera. This year he released NOPE and the sci-fi thriller is barreling down on a $150 million box office as we speak so why not do a Nope 2? Oh, Peele has ideas for sure and talked about them just recently.
Peele chats with The New York Times this week about what’s next. In the interview he seems to suggest that he’s not done with the Nope Universe just yet.
According to IMDb, Michael Busch plays the uncredited character “Nobody” in Jordan Peele’s Nope, a character who ended up being cut out of the movie – interesting to note, however, that “Nobody” was glimpsed in the movie’s first official trailer. Peele hints that the character’s story may be explored in some way, shape, or form in the near future. Peele tells The New York Times, “People are doing a lot of interesting detective work, is what’s going on.”
He continues, “The story of that character has yet to be told, I can tell you that. Which is another frustrating way of saying, I’m glad people are paying attention. I do think they will get more answers on some of these things in the future.”
“We’re not over telling all of these stories,” Peele adds.
Now this doesn’t mean we would get a NOPE 2 per say, but it could mean we get a NOBODY film in the future. Maybe…
We’ll bring you more when we hear it.
In Nope, “Residents in a lonely gulch of inland California bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery.” Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) reteams with Peele on this year’s movie, with the cast also including Steven Yeun (“The Walking Dead,” Mayhem) and Keke Palmer (“Scream”), plus Michael Wincott (The Crow), Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea.
