Eddie Munson Return For 'STRANGER THINGS 5' "Highly Unlikely" Says Shows Producer

Let’s face it, everyone loved Eddie Munson (portrayed by Joseph Quinn), in Stranger Things 4. He was sincere, brave, and just a little bit crazy but he meant well. Eddie was one of those guys many stayed away from in High School because they were labeled “weird” by the cool kids (we should know…we were labeled the same when we went to school) yet, to fans of the show, he was a breath of fresh air and a much needed addition to the gang from Hawkins.

Sadly, (SPOILER ALERT) Eddie sacrificed himself for his friends at the end of season 4 and tons of goth and metal girls cried their eyes out over it. Fans want more Eddie for season 5 but we don’t think that will happen considering what show producer Shawn Levy has to say.

"A lot of people can't even handle the thought of a season 5 without some excuse for Eddie’s presence," producer Shawn Levy tells The Hollywood Reporter. "Highly unlikely, highly unlikely. But we hear you, world, we know. You're obsessed with Eddie – so are we."

It would be complete fan service if Eddie did indeed come back from the dead for an appearance in season 5 but we do know that Vecna can manipulate things in the Upside Down as well as peoples minds so…who knows, we might just get to see our favorite metal-head once more…but don’t hold your breath.
