Filming For 'WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY 2' Set To Start In The Fall

You people made this happen, don’t deny it.

Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey scared up an impressive $6 Million at the box office and you know what that means, a sequel is for sure to follow.

Rhys Frake-Waterfield is back to direct the Pooh-based slasher sequel, and THR reports this week that filming is set to begin on the brand new continuation this coming Fall.

In fact, Blood and Honey 2 has already scored several international sales deals, including in Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, and India.

ITN will release the sequel here in the United States. THR notes, “The production is expected to include a substantially larger budget than its predecessor film.”

In this version of the classic story, Christopher Robin is headed off to college and he has abandoned his old friends, which then leads to the duo embracing their inner monsters.

“The days of adventures and merriment have come to an end, as Christopher Robin, now a young man, has left Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet to fend for themselves. As time passes, feeling angry and abandoned, the two become feral.

“After getting a taste for blood, Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet set off to find a new source of food. It’s not long before their bloody rampage begins.”

Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott star in the horror movie. If you’re wondering how Disney could let this happen, Pooh and his pals are all now public domain entities and anyone can use them. What an age we live in, eh?
