HEAVY METAL Announces Its Comic Con International Programming Schedule And Party!
One publication, above all others struck a nerve with us at a very young age. HEAVY METAL Magazine was the premier magazine for crazy artwork, horrific stories, and mind bending tales that grabbed you by the throat and took your imagination for a ride. At the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, HEAVY METAL returns and we have the full programming details for you below!
The Iconic Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror Publisher and Studio Celebrates Its 45th Anniversary at SDCC With Special Programming and New Merch
Heavy Metal Entertainment, the premier storyteller of cutting-edge science fiction, fantasy, and horror, is thrilled to announce its 2022 San Diego Comic Con programming lineup. Heavy Metal is home to the legendary illustrated Heavy Metal Magazine, a growing slate of comics and prose novels, a podcast network, film and television division Heavy Metal Studios, and so much more.
Heavy Metal will be taking over Booth #1529 to sell books and merchandise, including convention exclusives like special editions of best-selling issues of the magazine and comics with sheet metal covers, like the Peach Momoko cover edition of Taarna: The Last Taarakian #1 (cover image attached here), and new apparel celebrating the publisher’s 45th anniversary this year (image attached here).
Fans can also purchase tickets for the Heavy Metal Live Hornblower Boat Party, taking place on Saturday July 23rd at 7pm PST in San Diego Harbor. In partnership with iBoatNYC, the concert cruise will feature sets from the popular DJ Matt Steffanina and electronic artist Doll Machine. Ticket packages start at $34.96 HERE. Book signings from popular Heavy Metal talent, including writer/actor Dan Fogler, artists Isaac and Esau Escorza, writer Blake Northcott, writer/artist Gideon Kendall, and writer Brendan Columbus will also take place at Booth #1529. Heavy Metal will also be hosting four panels throughout the weekend.
