Hulu's New "ALIEN: EARTH" Teaser Announces That "Mother Earth Is Expecting"
Hulu
Earth ain’t ever gonna be the same after this one, where’s Maury Povich when you need him? Hulu has just released a new teaser trailer for “ALIEN: EARTH” and while it doesn’t show much, it sure excites us for what the show has to offer. We have that and more details about the series below.
Noah Hawley (Fargo) is the showrunner for “ALIEN: EARTH,” and if his past work is any indication of what we can expect from this new prequel series, we’re all in for one hell of a ride. “Alien: Earth” is slated for a Summer 2025 premiere.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS FROM IMDB:
“When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat.”

We have to admit, the fact that FX on Hulu is touting the new trailer for ALIEN: EARTH as a sort of “pregnancy announcement” has us scratching our heads a bit. We suppose we get the premise since the “chest-burster” aspect is like giving birth. It’s violent and bloody, and someone always ends up screaming at the end. Okay, we get it. Not much new here except that we get an exact date for the series being set in 2120. This changes things a bit as the series was originally set for something like 30 years before the events of “ALIEN” but now, with this new trailer, it makes the series just two years before that original film. This makes more sense and falls into perfect alignment with the films in the franchise.
We have high hopes for this new series as Ridley Scott is attached as an executive producer plus with Fede Alvarez’s “ALIEN: ROMULUS” kicking the franchise into high gear again, Alien: Earth” could put the Alien franchise back on track to being the top sci-fi horror title it truly is. That fact alone makes us giddy because there are a plethora of stories that can come from this series. You could have full seasons showing what happens globally when an “alien” gets to touch the soil, so to speak.
The series features Sydney Chandler (Don’t Worry Darling), Timothy Olyphant (Scream 2), Alex Lawther (For People in Trouble), Samuel Blenkin (Mary & George), Essie Davis (The Babadook), David Rysdahl (The Revival), Adarsh Gourav (Hostel Daze), Jonathan Ajayi (Play It Safe), Adrian Edmondson (The Young Ones), Babou Ceesay (We Hunt Together), Moe Bar-El (The Bureau), Lily Newmark (A Brixton Tale), Erana James (The Changeover) and Diem Camille (The Great Silence).
We have to also wonder if any of the stories from the comic series “ALIENS: EARTH WAR” will be used. This series was released in the early 90s and is a direct sequel to “ALIENS” showcasing a surviving Newt, Hicks, and Ripley. No, we’re not saying you’re going to see Sigourney Weaver in the new series (that we know of) but that the comics tied in the films perfectly, and if done correctly, Alien: Earth” could do that as well. Only time will tell.
We’ll keep you posted on all Alien: Earth” news as usual so stay tuned!
