ISABEL MAY Makes The Jump From "YELLOWSTONE" Prequels To "SCREAM" Sequels!

The news about “Scream 7” has been like a roller coaster that you can’t get off of. What started with a breakneck pace production was halted after Spyglass Entertainment tried to censor one of the series’ stars, Melissa Barrera over her views of the war in Gaza for which over 45,000 people have died to date. This also led to the exit of the film’s director, Christopher Landon, and the other franchise star, Jenna Ortega from the project which left the rest of the cast and crew scrambling to figure out what would happen next. Months later, news would break that both Neve Campbell and the original writer, Kevin Williamson would return to the series to helm the 7th installment. That news broke back in March of this year, but there have been few details released since with Campbell claiming over the summer that she hasn’t even seen a draft yet, which is to be expected.

Now, news from The Hollywood Reporter suggests that there is another cast member added and it’s Isabel May who is best known for her work on the “Yellowstone” prequel series' “1883” and “1923” and will be joining as Sydney Presscot’s daughter, a character who has yet to be named. This news is light and doesn’t offer much in the way of plot details, but at least we know that the film will involve the Prescott family once again, this time with Sydney taking on the matriarch role. It gets us thinking that Williamson is going to rehash story beats from the first film, by emphasizing the daughter being targeted because of Sydney, much like Syndey was because of her mother. This is all speculation of course, but with the ups and downs this series relaunch has seen, anything goes!
