JAMES WAN and OSGOOD PERKINS Take On STEPHEN KING In "THE MONKEY"

If 2024 is any indication, NEON is surely a name synonymous with horror. Hot off their recent couple of hits in both Longlegs and Cuckcoo, the latter of which is the highest-grossing independent horror movie of all time, there is no rest for this studio as they prepare to adapt one from the literary world’s master of the macabre, Stephen King. Pulled from a book of short stories King penned called “Skeleton Crew”, both James Wan and Osgood Perkins will partner on an adaptation of “The Monkey” set to release in February 2025.

Wan will serve as Producer and Perkins will helm the director’s chair, and other notable attachments include Theo James (The White Lotus Season 2) in the lead role. There isn’t much to tell so far, unless of course you’ve read the short story, but there is a short teaser to hold us over until a full trailer is announced. Check it out below, and we will bring you more on this as updates become available!
