At nearly 80 years old, John Carpenter remains a living legend, and these upcoming shows could very well be the last time he graces the stage. If you have the chance to see him live, don’t miss it. Carpenter isn’t just a master of horror—he’s a cinematic icon, one of the rare directors who also composes his own film scores. From the haunting theme of “Halloween” in 1978 to his more recent compositions like his “Lost Themes” albums, his music has left an undeniable mark on film history. As longtime fans who have collected many of his scores, we can confidently say they are some of the best listening experiences out there. We’re hoping to catch a few of his shows in Los Angeles, and if you’re a fan, we highly recommend you do the same.
