Lionsgate Is Bringing 1999's "STIR OF ECHOES" To 4K This December!
The turn of the century was a strange time. The Y2K frenzy combined with the looming dot com bust, the end of the 90s was as weird as it started and it shows in the kinds of horror movies being released around that time. This was the height of Miramax, Dimension, and Artisan Entertainment domination for modestly budgeted horror films, and following the merging of many of these aforementioned companies we are left with what Lionsgate has become today. A studio with a wealth of properties both from original productions as well as acquisitions and a film that is finally getting to see the light of 4K, 1999’s “Stir of Echoes.”
This oft-forgotten supernatural spookshow came out right before the 00s began, and despite doing well both theatrically and on home video it doesn’t get talked about near as much as it should. Thankfully, Lionsgate is dusting off its library and bringing some releases into the modern age, and we have all the details for you below!

Synopsis
Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) is a blue-collar worker, a family man, the most ordinary guy in the world...who is about to be plunged into a shattering encounter with another world. And it doesn't matter that Tom doesn't believe in the supernatural. Because something supernatural has started to believe in Tom. After he is hypnotized at a neighborhood party, Tom changes. He sees things he can't explain and hears voices he can't ignore. As the horrific visions intensify, Tom realizes they are pieces of a puzzle, echoes of a crime calling out to be solved. But when his other-worldly nightmares begin coming true, Tom wants out. He desperately tries to rid himself of his eerie, unwanted powers - only to be seized by an irresistible compulsion to dig deeper and deeper into the mystery that is consuming his life.
