Macabredaily returned to the hollowed halls of the Long Beach convention center for the 5th annual MIDSUMMER SCREAM Convention. The con focuses on the best holiday of the year, Halloween, and it made our jaws drop with all the amazing vendors and reveals it gave to horror fans this past weekend. From the infamous and always fun “Hall of Shadows” to getting a history lesson about Halloween itself, Midsummer Scream is growing to be the ultimate spooky place for all us weirdos, and we couldn’t be happier!

Our senior photographer, Tony Ace was at it again and snapped some amazing shots as usual. Check them out below!

Oh don’t go anywhere, we have more goodies to show you! The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Museum was in full force at the event and we snapped a few good shots of the various props and screen used items from the original film!

Check it out!

Our friends over at Trick Or Treat Studios had some amazing masks, figures, and reveals as usual.

Arts Sideshow Prop Museum Of Horror had an amazing setup at the convention all decked out in The Exorcist and we even got to see our favorite Reagan Cosplayer @spookyproffessor

Our friends over at Creep It Real OC had a pretty awesome setup at this years event which gave us a glimpse into their upcoming events in September and November happening at the OC Heritage Museum.

Do you like clowns? What about dancing clowns? Well do we have a cosplayer for you! Mr. Floats took center stage with a few of his “Georgies” and gave everyone a smile as Pennywise from Stephen King’s ‘IT’.

Did we mention at this year’s Midsummer Scream, there was a whole room dedicated to Halloween History? Yep, from old masks and puzzles, to trick or treat bags and records, the museum was a major flashback to Halloweens of yesteryear.

There were even some photo ops available for THE EVIL DEAD which was showcased by our friends at The Mystic Museum over in Burbank, Ca. You could get your picture taken in the Delta from the film and were given props if so desired!

Midsummer Scream brought out the best in horror and Halloween fans this year and with that, check out some of the various and awesome cosplays that guests were wearing throughout the event. The folks over at The Haunted Car Wash can be seen in the images below and we highly recommend you check them out, plus, ya get a car wash with every visit!

That does it for our visit to Midsummer Scream 2022 and we are so pleased with everyone who attended and the creators behind the event for bringing spooky season front and center during the Summer.

You can check out all updates from Midsummer Scream HERE and keep your eyes peeled for news for any upcoming events they may have planned.

See ya next year!
