Marvel Releases Incredible New Cover And Interior Artwork For The Upcoming "BLADE" Series

The “Daywalker” aka BLADE is returning to the pages of Marvel comics with an all new series next month and we have your first look at all the bloody goodness.

Even though the BLADE film has been delayed, that doesn’t mean Marvel is resting on their favorite vampire hunter as this all-new ongoing solo series written by Bryan Hill (Killmonger) with art from Marvel's Stormbreaker Elena Casagrande (Black Widow) is sure to have fans satiated in their thirst for more Blade.

Blade's latest saga kicks off when he unknowingly unleashes a dark, ancient power that’s been simmering for centuries. Known only as the Adana, Marvel’s entire supernatural underworld will be thrown in turmoil and it’s up to Blade to handle it - or pay a pound of flesh for his mistake!

Marvel Comics says we should "get ready for bloodbaths and blackmail" as Hill and Casagrande look to return Blade to his gory glory.

"Blade is a treasured character for me," Hill recently revealed.

"Here, we have an opportunity to explore his history, reveal new aspects of his world and create a story that’s brutal, sexy, and bold as it travels into the world of monsters and magic."

It's said that Blade #1 will provide an ideal entry point into the saga of this horror and pop culture icon whose starpower is set to grow even larger in the years ahead.

Blade #1 goes on sale on July 19.
