MAX Awakens Something In "SALEM'S LOT" This October (TRAILER)

For some, this must feel like Christmas as Max has finally announced a release date and trailer for the long-anticipated, “Salem’s Lot” adaptation! We’ve covered the long, storied history of this production and are happy to see that it is not being shelved and we can all sink our teeth into it very soon! The official release date is October 3, 2024, just in time for the Halloween season, and from the looks of the trailer, this could be a sleeper hit of the year!

New Line Cinema’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 bestselling novel “Salem’s Lot” debuts THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3 on Max. The Max Original film SALEM’S LOT reunites the producing teams behind the record-breaking horror franchises “The Conjuring” universe and the “It” films. Gary Dauberman writes, directs, and executive produces the film. Producers are James Wan and Michael Clear for Atomic Monster; Roy Lee for Vertigo; and Mark Wolper.

Starring Lewis Pullman (Ben Mears), Alfre Woodard (Dr. Cody), Makenzie Leigh (Susan Norton), Bill Camp (Matthew Burke), Spencer Treat Clark (Mike Ryerson), Pilou Asbæk (Straker), and John Benjamin Hickey (Father Callahan).

Synopsis

Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.
