Mazes And Shows Revealed For KNOTT's SCARY FARM 2022!
We are in August and of course, Spooky Season is right around the corner. One staple of the fall season has to be Knott’s Scary Farm. The event will be celebrating its 49th year in 2022 and we have all the details about what mazes, shows, and scare zones you can expect in the fog!
One cool thing about the 2022 iteration of Scary Farm is the BOO-FET option for tickets that gets you into the park a little earlier. Fill up with endless portions of signature Knott’s entrees and desserts with a souvenir bottle.
The menu includes Knott’s classics such as Mrs. Knott’s fried chicken, a chef carving station, boysenberry pie and more. Diners get one digital photo download with a monster at the Boo-fet. Boo-fet diners receive early entry to select mazes and attractions (at 6:30 p.m.).
Boo-fet guests will also have exclusive monster photo opportunities before the park opens to the general public. The monsters cannot pose for photos inside the park, so if you want posed monster photos, go to the Boo-fet dinner.
Check-in can be scary long, so you'll want to book an early time and arrive early.

Knott’s Scary Farm is the largest and most haunting Halloween event in Southern California, with unimaginable scares and innovative thrills that can’t be found anywhere else. The fully transformed theme park features uniquely haunted mazes and attractions, sinister shows, and more than 1,000 horrifying creatures lurking in the fog and hiding in every corner of the park. These haunted attractions have the ingredients of a truly terrifying nightmare. But unlike most dreams, Knott’s Scary Farm is a nightmare you can’t wake up from -- which makes it the thing to do for Halloween. Knott’s Scary Farm is not recommended for children under 13. All guests, regardless of age, need to have their own paid admission ticket.
THE MAZES:
This year’s lineup of returning mazes includes:
Pumpkin Eater
Returning for its fifth year, this murderous nursery rhyme-inspired maze will again take guests back to colonial times where they’ll face the terrifying world of a serial killer and must escape the wrath of a murderous seven-foot-tall creature that haunts the woods surrounding The Hollow.
Origins: The Curse of Calico
Origins: The Curse of Calico is inspired by the beginnings of Knott’s Scary Farm and is what maze designer Jon Cooke has referred to as a “love letter to the history of this event.” The backstory of the maze is built upon Knott’s Scary Farm’s origins in Ghost Town and the witch hanging shows performed in the 1980s. Guests enter the maze and watch as the witch’s curse takes over the Calico townsfolk and then experience the mystery of the Calico witch as it unravels.
Dark Ride
Dark Ride returns for its fifth Scary Farm season. The fan-favorite maze saw some significant enhancements in 2019 with the addition of an interactive control room and gift shop exit scene.
Dark Entities
Now in its fourth year, Dark Entities will again take guests into the depths of space to face the extraterrestrial mutation invading a lone space station.
Mesmer: Sideshow of the Mind
Mesmer made its debut at Knott’s Scary Farm in 2021 and quickly became a favorite thanks to its special effects and immersive story elements. Release your inner thoughts and descend into a world of madness, torture, and eerie enlightenment in this haunted maze. There you will uncover the grotesque secrets hidden as you brave through the most terrifying show ever created.
The Depths
Returning for the fourth year, The Depths, will return for 2022 and will again send guests into the underground caves of a seaside town where terrifying horrors are said to lurk and where the Nightwatch Mining Crew vanished.
Wax Works
Introduced as the first new maze of 2019, Wax Works returns for its third Scary Farm season to take guests into an eerie abandoned wax museum where once-prominent plastic surgeon Dr. Agustus Scratch turns his victims into his latest works of art.

The prices vary based on the date and have additional taxes and fees. You want to purchase online at least 24 hours in advance to save off the front gate price. There is also a processing fee of $6.99. There are discounts for season passholders as well as for active, inactive and retired military members with ID. Here's the scary part. Ticket prices creep up as the event runs on and dates approach, so buy early, even if you plan to visit later in the season. A ticket for a particular night gets more and more expensive as time goes on.
