NYCC 2023: You're Invited To The Théâtre des Vampires In First Clip For AMC's "INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE" Season 2
We told you months ago that AMC was renewing Anne Rice’s ‘INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE’ for a second season and today during the NYCC panel for the show, some new footage was released for you to sink your teeth into below.
The clip below teases the Théâtre des Vampires and the vampire coven of Armand (Assad Zaman), just as it’s time to devour dinner. The sneak peek also gives us a closer look at Delainey Hayles as Claudia, taking over for Bailey Bass after she exited last season. We truly hope this season dives into the relationship Armand and Lestat had before Lestat came to America. It was completely removed from the film.
Fans of the series will also know that everything is not going to go smoothly for Louis and Claudia once they do enter Théâtre des Vampires. That’s especially the case with Ben Daniels‘ Santiago, who is the lead vampire thespian of the coven.
“A sensuous, contemporary reinvention of Anne Rice’s revolutionary gothic novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire follows Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) and Claudia’s (Bailey Bass) epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion.
“But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement.”
Season 2 of “Interview With The Vampire” is set for early 2024
