"PATER NOSTER AND THE MISSION OF LIGHT" Trailer Is Unholy Bonkers Mayhem (TRAILER)
If we are being honest, the term “bonkers” is over used and often not appropriate for the film it describes. As an example, when people said Malignant was “bonkers” we asked ourselves, if anyone had actually seen a movie that is certifiably bonkers. Take movies like Hausu or Baskin, two movies that put the B in Bonkers where you’re assaulted with all kinds of wild imagery, hellish landscapes, and in some cases complete lack of awareness of time or place. We aren’t going to die on the hill that “Malignant” isn’t that, but after watching the trailer for Pater Noster and the Mission of Light we think it’s safe to say that this movie looks like complete horror pandemonium.
The underground film is about to complete post production as it gears up for a Fall 2024 release, and to tide fans over a new trailer has been released that is almost 2-minutes of insanity. Quick-cut editing, hippies, religious cults, Midsommar vibes, and more all packaged up with some intense gore scenes. Yeah, this movie looks like it may actually be bonkers. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more coverage as it becomes available!
Synopsis:
The film tells the story of Max, a young record store clerk who stumbles upon a rare vinyl LP and is drawn into the world of a 1970s hippie commune. An invitation to the remnants of the outlandish cult and their unholy spawn leads to grave and grisly circumstances for Max and her friends.
