"PREY" Is The Title For PREDATOR Prequel On The Way To HULU Next Year Says Disney [UPDATE]

The long talked about prequel to Predator is actually happening and the news is flowing for it. The film was originally entitled “Skulls” but we have learned today that the project has been renamed “Prey” by Disney and will be coming to Hulu!

From 20th Century Studios, the return of the Predator franchise is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), the story will revolve around the first time the species we know as the “Predator” came to earth.

Amber Midthunder (“Legion”) stars as a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior.

There is no hard date for the films release as of yet on Hulu.

“It goes back to what made the original Predator movie work,” producer John Davis previously told Collider. “It’s the ingenuity of a human being who won’t give up, who’s able to observe and interpret, basically being able to beat a stronger, more powerful, well-armed force.”

As for tone, Davis reveals that “[Prey] has more akin to The Revenant than it does any film in the Predator canon,” further adding: “You’ll know what I mean once you see it.”

“I think this is a worthy complement to the first one,” he adds. “It’s going to be as good.”
