"SAINT CATHERINE" (2024) Looks Like A Gory Religious Romp, And We're Here For It! (TRAILER)
When it comes to religious horror, we’ve always felt things could get a little more extreme. Sure, there are some examples of films that go all-in on the transgressive side of things, namely “American Guinea Pig’s Song of Solomon,” but the exception does not make the rule as they say. Thankfully, the folks over at Black Mandala Films, who are really ramping up their release schedule have heard our pleas for more in-your-face religious horror and have answered our unholy prayers with their upcoming film, “Saint Catherine.”
The film comes from some of the same folks behind “The 100 Candles Game: The Last Possession,” which we reviewed here previously and looks to offer more of the same brilliant practical and makeup effects, not to mention heaps of the red stuff. The synopsis for this anthology film is as follows:
SAINT CATHERINE is a gripping collection of supernatural horror stories, all woven through the haunting journey of Ellie—a young survivor navigating the eerie corridors and shadowy basements of the Saint Catherine Institute. Each tale uncovers a new facet of the evil that lurks within the school—and within Ellie herself.
