Severin Films Continues Their Run Of RUSS MEYER Releases With "UP!" And "MOTORPSYCHO" Coming To The UK!
Film restoration is art preservation, and Severin Films is one of the most dedicated boutique labels to ensure that the future will have the best possible versions of some of the world’s most important cult classics. Their historic deal with The Russ Meyer Trust to go into their vault and re-release pristine 4K UHD and Blu-Ray versions of some of Meyer’s most iconic films. What started with the “Vixen” films has moved onto two more of the auteur’s salacious classics, “Up!” and “Motorpsycho.”
We reported on these coming stateside earlier this year, and now, they are making their way over to the UK and we have all the details for you below. The films are set to release on 28 April 2025, and if you can read our previous reviews for “Vixen!,” “Supervixens,” and “Beyond the Valley of the Ultravixens” respectively, with our reviews for “Up!” and “Motorpsycho” coming this week and next!

Just prior to FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL!, producer/director/co-writer and cinematographer Russ Meyer first unleashed his singular vision of full-throttle violence and vengeance with this 1965 shocker: When a trio of psycho bikers launches a sexual assault and murder spree in a desert town, the local veterinarian (Alex Rocco of THE GODFATHER fame in his screen debut) teams up with a rage-ravaged vixen (the incredible Haji in her first film role) to settle the score.
