Tom DeLonge's "MONSTERS OF CALIFORNIA" (2023) Invades The UK This July (TRAILER)
While we can’t prove that aliens exist, we would be foolish not to at least acknowledge the possibility. Considering how vast and largely unexplored our universe is, it stands to reason that the existence of life on other planets isn’t just reasonable, it’s plausible. Tom DeLonge, yes, of Blink-182, has long been a proponent for the existence of extraterrestrials, and in 2023 he teamed up with co-writer Ian Miller to produce “Monsters of California,” which is making its way across to the pond to the UK next month!
Set to release on 7 July 2025, from Plaion Pictures, we have a trailer and some out-of-this-world details about the sci-fi adventure film starring genre greats, Casper Van Dien and Richard Kind. Get ready for a brand-new Sci-Fi adventure drama, where specters and unexplained creatures lurk in the ether and are only visible to those in the know. Meet the Monsters of California – a film directed and co-written by Blink–182’s Tom DeLonge – alongside Ian Miller. The film gets its UK debut this May thanks to Plaion Pictures.
Inspired by some his favorite sci-fi movies including E.T. and The Goonies and his fascination of UFOs, DeLonge’s coming-of-age sci-fi feature is guaranteed to take us on a wild ride.
Among the blue skies and sunny vistas of Southern California lives teenager Dallas Edwards (Jack Samson) and his wayward friends Riley (Jared Scott) and Toe (Jack Lancaster), who are on a quest for the meaning behind a series of mysterious, paranormal events. It’s years on from his dad’s disappearance and, although his family are still grieving, they’re starting to move on with their lives… but Dallas believes there’s much more to what happened than meets the eye.
Spending his time in haunted houses, paranormal hunting, and getting stoned with his best friends, he’s convinced that other life forms live among us, but when they uncover government secrets that his fighter pilot father left behind, they set off on a mission to find out the truth.
With the military – led by his Uncle Myers (Casper Van Dien) – on their case and the help of his dad’s old colleague Dr. Walker (Richard Kind), the friends embark on a wild and dangerous adventure that takes them to the heart of UFOs and other unexplained phenomena. Can they uncover the truth about his father and unravel the hidden, extraordinary secrets held deep within secret Government organizations, or will they pay the ultimate price?
