Will We Be Taking A Trip To Luigi's Mansion In 'THE SUPER MARIO BROS. Movie'?
Yesterday, Universal Pictures released the highly anticipated teaser trailer for ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie’ and while fans are in a heated debate over whether Chris Pratt’s Mario voice is great or garbage, we noticed something interesting in the teaser. Did you spot Mario’s brother Luigi running from ghosts? Yeah we did too.
Luigi is being voiced by Charlie Day and you see him at the tail end of the trailer being chased in a spooky sequence that makes us wonder…will Luigi’s Mansion be featured in the film?
Released in 2001, Luigi’s Mansion explored the spookier side of the Super Mario Bros. Universe, and it centered on Luigi exploring a haunted mansion and doing a little ghost-busting.
The game was followed by two sequels and later a Nintendo 3DS remake in 2018.
Now this could be just a small portion of the film but it’s still cool to think we’ll get a glimpse of the spookier side of Mario and Luigi’s adventure in the film.
We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any more references to the game in the following trailers that are sure to come for the flick.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie features a voice cast that also includes Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, along with Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad.
