‘Alita: Battle Angel’ Sequels Still Hoped For By Producer

2019s ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ has been ripe for a sequel since the films release and fans of the film have been wanting more. All we heard about a possible sequel was from director Robert Rodriguez who stated he’d love to return to that world. As far as the films future though, a sequel would have to be called up for by Disney and as of this writing, that hasn’t happened, but there is still hope.

The silence of what could happen has been broken by producer Jon Landau telling Deadline that conversations are happening and he’s still hungry to bring Alita back to life.

“There’s a little film called Alita: Battle Angel that we’d love to circle back and do a sequel to,” Landau tells the outlet. “We’re talking to Robert about that; hopefully that comes to fruition.”

Back in 2019, Alita: Battle Angel pulled in $404 million worldwide on a $170 million production budget, but whether or not that was enough to justify a sequel is up to Disney’s executives.

Rosa Salazar starred in Battle Angel as Alita, a deactivated cyborg who is revived, but can’t remember anything of her past and goes on a quest to find out who she is.
