She’s back, and this time, she’s fully upgraded! That’s right, MEGAN—the killer robot who took the world by storm—is back and badder than ever in the first official trailer for “M3GAN 2.0.” Get ready for more mayhem, and catch the trailer right here, right now!
Blumhouse has just released the first official trailer for “M3GAN 2.0” and things are a bit different this time around as our favorite homicidal robo-girl has traded in her villainous ways for a slightly less terrifying, yet still deadly, antihero makeover. That’s right, she’s no longer just about the killing—she’s out to stop a military-grade weapon built on her tech, because why let someone else have all the fun?
Director Gerard Johnstone and writer Akela Cooper are back for this high-tech sequel, joined by producers James Wan of Atomic Monster and Jason Blum of Blumhouse. The dynamic duo that brought us the horror sensation of 2023 is ready to deliver more chaos—and we’re here for it. The film is set for a June 27th release from Universal.
The trailer is pretty hilarious as it begins with the classic song “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” by Boys II Men, then descends into some wild hilarity and mayhem. As the trailer says, you better “hold onto your vaginas” because this looks to be a wild robotic ride.

Two years after M3GAN's rampage, her creator, Gemma, resorts to resurrecting her infamous creation in order to take down Amelia, the military-grade weapon who was built by a defense contractor who stole M3GAN's underlying tech.
Returning to the madness are Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Amie Donald, and Jenna Davis. New faces include Ivanna Sakhno, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement.
We’re not sure where Blumhouse is going with this sequel but we expect to see a few more M3GAN films in our future. The original film did gangbusters at the box office by pulling in $181.796 million worldwide against a production budget of only $12 million. Needless to say, the film was a hit back in 2023 and fans have been wanting more ever since with companies like NECA creating life size replicas of the doll and various cosplays seen at conventions, it’s easy to say that M3GAN is a horror icon fans are eager to see tear it up on the screen.
