October has arrived, and all manners of ghosts, goblins, slashers, and of course witches will be a flurry as the spookiest month of the year arrives. While the US is one of the leading proponents of the Halloween holiday, our good friends across the pond enjoy their terrifying tales (with tea, of course) just as much as we do. Case in point, “The Witch Game” which is set to hit UK digital on 14 October, 2024!

This Argentinian shocker is lush with vibrant colors and special effects and gives us a sense of whimsy buried under some healthy amounts of worry for all kinds of witchcraft held within. Synopsis

Mara (Lourdes Mansilla), a moody teenager obsessed with video games and the occult, would rather play than hang out with her family. So, when she unwraps a mysterious virtual reality game on her birthday, promising to teach her real witchcraft, she dives in without hesitation.

 But this is no ordinary game and what starts as a thrilling adventure quickly turns into a nightmare. When her younger sister Sofia (Denise Bárbara) vanishes without a trace, Mara must master the dark arts within the game to rescue her. As the lines between reality and fantasy blur, she must with three sorcerers to confront the devil himself.

 Caught in a sinister web of magic, can Mara cast the spell that will set her sister free from The Witch Game?
