Check Out The First 11 Minutes Of 'DEAD ISLAND 2' Gameplay [Video]

If you’re just like us, you played Dead Island for hours when it came out. Dead Island 2 is set just a few months after the original game ended and brings the zombie outbreak to Santa Monica and Hollyweird for the sequel.

A few weeks back we shared with you the games opening cinematic but now thanks to our friends over at IGN, we have the first 11 minutes of actual gameplay of the game from developer Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios’ below.

This particular gameplay video centres on Ryan, one of the three Slayers you’ll be able to play as in Dead Island 2. The footage gets bloody right from the get go and doesn’t let up. Did we mention you get to see some impromptu surgery as well as a zombie slaying or two? Yeah, this is going to be hours of fun.

Set several months after the events of the first game, Dead Island 2 sees the United States military putting California under full quarantine. Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start. Combining the classic Dead Island elements of immersive close combat, action and role-playing, Dead Island 2 features crazy, never-before-seen handcrafted weapons and over-the-top characters in taking players from the iconic Golden Gate to the celebrated beachfront boardwalk of southern California’s Venice Beach.

Dead Island 2 will release on PC via the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on April 21.
