Production Has Started In The UK For "HOUSE OF THE DRAGON" Season 2
Why in blue blazes is MacabreDaily covering House Of The Dragon? Well let’s see. Violent Kills, Sex, and of course DRAGONS! Come on now, of course we would be interested in the next season of HBO’s House Of The Dragon.
HBO has confirmed as of yesterday (via SFFGazette.com) that production has commenced on the highly anticipated second season of House of the Dragon at Leavesden Studios in the United Kingdom.
Based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood, the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen.
"House of the Dragon has returned," Ryan Condal, the show's co-creator and executive producer, said announcing the news. "We are thrilled to be shooting again with members of our original family as well as new talents on both sides of the camera."
"All your favorite characters will soon be conspiring at the council tables, marching with their armies, and riding their dragons into battle," he continued. "We can't wait to share what we have in store."
It's also been revealed that season 2's cast will include Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.
Additional returning actors include Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
