Christina Ricci Stars In New Monster Movie "Monstrous" [Image]

Another new film that we just got wind of is the abuse/monster flick “Monstrous” from director Chris Sivertson.

Christina Ricci is starring in the film as a traumatized woman fleeing from her abusive ex-husband with her 7-year-old son. In their new, remote sanctuary they find they have a bigger, more terrifying monster to deal with.

ScreenDaily shared the above first look at Ricci, who looks amazing as ever.

Monstrous comes in partnership with Screen Media, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment company, and Clay Epstein’s Film Mode Entertainment.

“[Writer] Carol Chrest created an iconic genre character who Christina Ricci brings to life in a mesmerizing and deeply emotional performance,” said Sivertson in the film’s initial announcement.

Principal Photography took place last December in Los Angeles, CA throughout Simi Valley, Sherman Oaks and Altadena.
