"Conversations Are Happening" For A 'MALIGNANT' Sequel!

James Wan’s most recent venture into horror, Malignant, received mixed reviews from many in the horror community. We were introduced to a new type of horror villain with the character of Gabriel. We’re not going to spoil the flick for you but he for sure is something to gander at.

Will we see more of Gabriel though? Talks are reportedly underway!

In a new chat with Screen Rant this week, Malignant‘s star notes that a follow-up is on the table.

Annabelle Wallis, who plays the film’s central character Madison Mitchell, tells the site, “There’s plenty of ideas swirling around. We were very, very flattered by the reception and I think taken aback by the reception. So yeah, there’s lots of conversations happening.”

Will we see James Wan return to the world of Malignant? If the past is any precursor for what’s to come, Wan will most likely produce a sequel instead of actually direct it.

In a brief interview with BD, Wan had this to say: “And listen, I don’t know when I’ll ever get the chance to do something as crazy and outrageous as this again, so I’ll take this opportunity,” Wan added at the time.
