Could We Get A Video Game Based Off Of Netflix's SQUID GAME?

Let’s face it, Squid Game on Netflix took everyone by surprise on just how good a TV show featuring horrific deaths could be. Now it is looking like Netflix wants to keep this money train rolling and are seeking new avenues to bring Squid Game more attention.

According to a recent interview conducted by The Hollywood Reporter with Netflix’s Asia executive Minyoung Kim, not only is a second season of the show possible, but Netflix is also looking at the possibility of a video game adaptation.

 “We’ve been getting an overwhelming but happy volume of requests from [Netflix] — from the consumer product department, from the gaming group, from our other international teams,” explains Kim.

“We are looking at multiple different areas — from games, consumer product and others — to really figure out what we can bring to our audiences to increase their affinity toward our content and give them more joy, while staying true to the world that our creator [Hwang Dong-hyuk] has built.”

Netflix is scheduled to start developing a gaming division as soon as next year but will Squid Game be a part of this? Only time will tell.
