Crowdfunded Slasher Comedy "THE WEEDHACKER MASSACRE" (2024) Set To Debut At Golden State Film Festival! (TRAILER)
Of all the horror sub-genres, the slasher film may be the most resilient. Sure, arguments can be made for supernatural horror movies or “psychological thrillers,” but not a year goes by where the horror community isn’t treated to at least a dozen new slasher films with some being better than others. Just look at 2024, we had “In A Violent Nature,” “Stream,” and “Time Cut” just to name a few, and 2025 has already kicked off with some great reviews for the Valentine’s Day slasher, “Heart Eyes.” So yeah, the slasher has not and is not going anywhere anytime soon, but “The WeedHacker Massacre” looks to inject some hilarity into the horror mix.
After a successful crowdfunding campaign, Co-creators Allen Danziger and Ray Spivey are bringing their hilarious horror sendup of the slasher film, “The WeedHacker Massacre” to the masses as it premieres at this year’s Golden State Film Festival. Synopsis
How many remakes of a bad horror movie can you make? The cast and crew of THE WEEDHACKER MASSACRE boldly film where gruesome murders occurred 10 years ago and the masked killer was never found. Bad acting, bounced payroll checks, and the killer’s return threaten what is surely to become their worst movie ever.
THE WEEDHACKER MASSACRE stars David Treviño (Rent Free, Storage Locker), Molly Sakonchick (Storage Locker), Bobbie Grace (Fear the Walking Dead, Velocity Girl), Sean Reyna, Parrish Randall (Circus of the Dead, The Goldilocks), and featuring Allen Danziger (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) as Sheriff Danzinshoos. The film was co-created by Allen Danziger and Ray Spivey, written and produced by Ray Spivey, executive produced by Allen Danziger, and directed by Jody Stelzig
