One of the best things about video games is that the inspirations are endless. And we just so happen to be living in a time when indie developers can create pretty significant waves off of relatively simple ideas (Vampire Survivors, anyone). One genre that has been near and dear to my 8-bit heart is the scrolling action beat em-up. Memories of games like Streets of Rage or the original X-Men arcade cabinet come to mind, and now, thanks to LIMITED RUN GAMES a new IP is emerging aimed squarely at those who love side-scrolling action and the exploitation films that inspired them.
