"DON'T LET THE CAT OUT" (2025) Takes Pet-Sitting To A Terrifying New Level (TRAILER)

Cats are damn near perfect creatures, but not everyone sees it that way. While some people say they are just “dog people” as some badge of honor, cats are more nuanced and complex than their canine pals. While we aren’t going to say one is objectively better than the other, we can say that cats often require far less maintenance than dogs do, especially when it comes to pet-sitting. That’s where “Don’t Let The Cat Out” comes in, from director Tim Cruz with a script from star and producer, Anthony Del Nego coming off a great run at this year’s Panic Fest.

The synopsis for the film promises far more than just some feline hijinx, as the film mixes supernatural elements with a truly unhinged couple:

When Charlie agrees to house-sit on Halloween, he expects a quiet evening alone. But the night quickly goes to hell when he is kidnapped and tortured by the deranged homeowners who plan to use Charlie’s body as a vessel to resurrect their beloved dead cat.

“Don’t Let The Cat Out” is an original, audacious horror film with a deliciously campy edge. The movie stars Anthony Del Negro, Jordan James Smith, and horror icon Cerina Vincent (“Cabin Fever”). Director Tim Cruz has this to say about the film:

Through this film, I aim to evoke a sense of empathy and understanding in viewers, encouraging them to confront their own grief and find solace in the shared human experience of mourning. DON’T LET THE CAT OUT is a testament to the power of facing our deepest fears, the catharsis that comes with acceptance, and the surprising humor that can be found even in the darkest of times.
