The Order Of The Circle Graphic Novel
Coming in mid-February is writer Levi Cory's debut graphic novel. Brought to us by Dead Sky Publishing, The Order of the Circle is the story of Dorothy Schafer and her journey of vengeance and love. During the Great Smog of London in 1952, Dorothy’s husband is unjustly found guilty of a heinous crime and banished to Hell by the titular Order. Cursed with muteness, Dorothy is determined to rescue her husband, even if it means going up against the Order.
However, they are not just magically powerful, the Order is also deeply entrenched in London's high society and politics. Serving as law enforcement to maintain the status quo in a dangerous, magical world.
Levi Corey’s vision is brought to life by artist Elisabeth Mkheidze (Breakneck Anthology, Tales of Ruination), and colourist Eva De Le Cruz, who capture the gritty and grimy environment of the period.
The Order Of The Circle is looking like a gripping tale for those who like their cult conspiracies, social commentary and tales of desperate vengeance.
The Order Of The Circle - on sale February 18.
I WAS A FASHION SCHOOL SERIAL KILLER #1
Early April will bring something for fans of Doug Wagner’s and Daniel Hillyard’s series, Plastic. I Was A Fashion School Serial Killer will be a five-issue miniseries published by Image Comics and feature the story of aspiring fashion designer Rennie Bethary.
Accepted by into New York City’s most prestigious fashion school. Rennie Bethary’s designs are daring, edgy, and singular…and made of human flesh. Secretly a serial killer, but desperate to be a fashion designer, she must fight her murderous urges while fighting the cutthroat and vicious world of high fashion.
"This may be the craziest, most quirky serial killer book Daniel and I have done yet," said Wagner. "We had the time of our lives working on this one. During our calls, there was way too much of drinks shooting out noses and asking, 'Can we get away with that?' We tend to think of those as signs that we’re on the right path.”
Considering the success of Plastic, Plush, and Vinyl, this looks like another great title to pick up for fans of serial killer comedy. I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer is looking like; The Devil Wears Prada meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
