EVANESENCE Debuts "DEVIL MAY CRY" Music Video Ahead Of April 3rd Premiere!

Heavy metal, demons, and Dante. That’s the kind of trifecta we are talking about and that’s what we get with the latest music video from harmonic hard rockers, Evanescence and their official music video for Netflix’s “Devil May Cry” series! Fans of both the band and the games will find this pairing a match made in heaven (or hell) and we know that you’re as excited as we are to hear and see this mashup come together ahead of the show’s premiere on the hit streaming platform on April 3, 2025.

For those who are still unfamiliar with the forthcoming series (see our previous coverage) you can read the synopsis below:

In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Regarding the video collaboration with Evanescence, the press release has this to share:

“Afterlife” (an alternate version of which will appear multiple times in the Netflix animated series Devil May Cry) is co-written by Alex Seaver of Mako and Evanescence’s Amy Lee. Co-produced by Nick Raskulinecz and Alex Seaver of Mako, “Afterlife” will be released by Netflix. The song will be available on all audio streaming services at midnight and the soundtrack album for the series will be released on April 3rd.

You can watch the video below, and we can’t wait to see the series premiere this Thursday!
