'Gremlins' Writer Chris Columbus Bringing Book Series "House Of Secrets" To Disney+

The writer of Gremlins, and Goonies as well as Director for Home Alone and Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone, Chris Columbus has a new series in the works from Disney+ and it’s based on his successful book series House Of Secrets.

The three novels, which debuted in 2013, were co-written by Ned Vizzini.

Columbus has referred to the book series as being a “cousin” to The Goonies.

Siblings Brendan, Eleanor and Cordelia Walker aren’t pleased when their family relocates to a creepy Victorian house once owned by an occult novelist, Denver Kristoff. By the time the Walkers realize that their new neighbor has sinister plans for them, they’re trapped in the magical house, traveling through the fantastical intertwined universes of Kristoff’s novels.”
