"Let The Right One In" Officially Being Made Into Series For Showtime!

John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel morphed into the amazing Swedish film Let The Right One In 2008, this of course inspired the American remake Let Me In a few years later. Now it is officially confirmed that the vampire epic will be coming to the small screen for Showtime and Demián Bichir (The Nun) attached to star.

The series has been given a 10-episode order. The cast also includes Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Madison Taylor Baez, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman and Jacob Buster.

“The series version centers on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez), whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.”

Andrew Hinderaker (Away) is the showrunner, with Seith Mann (Homeland) directing.

Let The Right One In was originally optioned for TNT but was dropped. We’re eager to see what Showtime can add to the property.
