James Cameron Comments On The Direction He'd Go In For A Future TERMINATOR Film
Let’s be honest, the most recent Terminator flick, Terminator: Dark Fate, did terrible at the box office and put a stop to a future trilogy of new films based in that universe. One man who could potentially revitalize it though, is of course, its creator, James Cameron.
Speaking with Wondery and Amazon’s “SmartLess” Podcast this week, franchise creator James Cameron commented briefly on where he’d like to see the franchise go next.
“If I were to do another Terminator film and maybe try to launch that franchise again, which is in discussion, but nothing has been decided, I would make it much more about the AI side of it than bad robots gone crazy,” Cameron explains to the podcast.
Will this happen though? Considering Cameron is set to make at least two more Avatar films, we think he’ll be a little too busy to deal with the T-800s and Skynet for the time being.
We’ll see what the future holds…
