James Cameron Confirms He Has Begun Writing Another TERMINATOR Film

James Cameron has officially confirmed he has begun writing a brand new Terminator film but there’s a bit of a catch. He won’t be completing the film until AI (artificial intelligence) grows a bit more.

The Oscar winning director revealed this news during the Dell Tech World conference of all places.

"So James Cameron just told the #DellTechWorld crowd that he started writing a new Terminator movie 3 months ago but wants to see how #AI shakes out before he goes any further," revealed one Twitter user at the event.

This is interesting as just awhile back we heard that Cameron was unsure of whether or not he would ever return to the world of Terminator. Back in late 2022, he said on the SmartLess podcast: "If I were to do another Terminator film and maybe try to launch that franchise again, which is in discussion, but nothing has been decided, I would make it much more about the AI side of it than bad robots gone crazy."

We’ll definitely keep you posted on all things Terminator as we hear them but for now we know that Cameron is attached to the next Alita: Battle Angel film with Robert Rodriguez directing and another 3 Avatar films as well. So Cameron has a pretty hefty plate on his hands for now.
