Joe Dante And Roger Corman Teaming Up For 'LITTLE SHOP OF HALLOWEEN HORRORS'
Talk about a horror power-house of a team. Roger Corman and Joe Dante are teaming up with veteran producer Brad Krevoy, CEO of MPCA, on Little Shop of Halloween Horrors, a reboot of Corman’s famed 1960 horror comedy, Little Shop of Horrors.
Deadline reports today that the film is set to be the jumping off point for a brand new franchise if all goes to plan.
Corman’s original film was released in 1960 and starred a young Jack Nicholson. The pic tells the story of a florist who discovered a strange plant with a craving for human flesh. As the plant grows, Seymour must feed it victims to keep it satisfied, leading to a series of darkly comedic and increasingly twisted events.
What’s even more bad ass about this new film is that Charles S. Haas (Gremlins 2: The New Batch) wrote the film!
No release date has been cemented as of yet but we should hear more before the year comes to a close.
