Keanu Reeves "Would Love To Play Constantine Again" For DC!
The film Constantine has become a cult favorite over the years since its release. When star of the film Keanu Reeves sat down for a recent interview with Esquire, he was asked if he would ever play John Constantine again.
"I love playing Constantine," Reeves admitted. "John Constantine. I've played a lot of Johns. How many Johns have I played? I don't even know. I think it's over ten. But anyway, I'd love to have the chance to play Constantine again."
As of this writing, HBO is indeed working on a John Constantine/Hellblazer series. British novelist Guy Bolton is attached to HBO Max's take on John Constantine, while J.J. Abrams is set to produce the project. The hunt is said to be on for a young, diverse actor to take over as the demon-hunting, chain-smoking Hellblazer character, so that takes Reeves out of the running. Could we see an older Constantine with Reeves back at the helm for a film though? We are crossing our fingers, toes and eyes for this.
