Leonardo DiCaprio In Final Talks To Play Cult Leader Jim Jones For MGM!

Seriously, who would be better to play cult leader and mass murderer, Jim Jones, than Leo DiCaprio. The actor has the talent and the dedication to pull this off and with this latest news about his involvement in a film with MGM, we are seriously intrigued on where this might go.

We have learned through Variety today that Leonardo is indeed set to play Jim Jones and DiCaprio will also produce the project alongside Jennifer Davisson for their Appian Way production company, with Scott Rosenberg on board as an executive producer and he also wrote the script.

In November of 1978, over 900 people were involved in a mass murder/suicide perpetrated by religious leader, Jim Jones. It is still considered today to be one of the largest mass deaths in history.
