Marvel's 'BLADE' Movie Will Not Be Released Until 2024!
It’s looking like the “day-walker” BLADE will not be seeing the light of day in the Marvel Cinematic Universe until 2024 now as reports are coming in that the film has been put on “pause” by Marvel and Disney.
Mahershala Ali is taking over the vampire-slaying role with Marvel originally planning on shooting to begin in November of this year. The original idea was also to release the film in November 2023 but that has been shifted to September 6, 2024.
The original post this morning from THR went like this.
“In the wake of parting ways with director Bassim Tariq two weeks ago, the studio is pressing pause on the vampire adventure thriller that is to star Oscar winner Mahershala Ali. Marvel is temporarily shutting down production-related activities in Atlanta, where the project was to have shot starting in November, while it conducts a search for a filmmaker and further develops it.”
The film lost its original director just a short time ago and we have good word that because of this, the film is taking a step back on release to iron out a few other issues before production kicks in.

Stacy Osei-Kuffour (“Watchmen”) was originally brought on board to write the script for Blade, which has a cast including Aaron Pierre (Old) and Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods).
At this time, it looks like Beau DeMayo (“The Witcher”) is currently working on the script.
