Heather Langenkamp "Would Really Like" To Fight Freddy One Last Time In An 'Elm Street' Legacy Film
Heather Langenkamp is back in the horror genre as she stars in Netflix’s and Mike Flanagan’s “THE MIDNIGHT CLUB”, and with this new series already streaming, the actress chatted with Entertainment Tonight and had a few things to say about her old pal Freddy Kreuger.
As most interviews with Langenkamp go, the conversation turned to the A Nightmare On Elm Street franchise and she states she would love to return to the character of Nancy.
“If Nancy could fight Freddy one last time, I would really like that,” she tells ET.
“Gosh, I’d love to see a future in that. I’ve been really watching the Halloween saga that’s been out, and I love watching Jamie Lee Curtis get to play that part,” Langenkamp adds. “You know, this age, where I think we have so much to give to those storylines, but yeah, I wish I was in control of that, but, unfortunately, it’s one of those Hollywood very complicated things.”
With the return of Laurie Strode, Sidney Prescott, and even Sally Hardesty to their respected roles in Horror against their big bads, one thinks Nancy would fit right in with this revival of sorts.
The big question though is if Freddy himself, Robert Englund would don the finger knives one more time. In recent years, Englund has made it pretty clear he isn’t interested in doing that.
Would you want to see this franchise brought back for one last sequel or should it be rebooted all together like we have seen from Blumhouse as of late?
