The highly anticipated second season of “The Last of Us “ just dropped a brand-new trailer over the weekend, giving fans a chilling glimpse of the harsh winter landscape our survivors must now navigate. Grab your mittens and a scarf people! Check it out below.
“EVERY PATH HAS A PRICE”
We’ve eagerly awaited any new footage for season 2 of MAX’s hit show, “THE LAST OF US.” and now we have just that. Over the weekend at SXSW, Max released a new trailer for the series, which premieres on Sunday, April 13,3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
One of the biggest differences we noticed right away from the first season was the shift to a snowy winter backdrop. How will the brutal cold impact our survivors, and will it play a crucial role in the story? “The Last of Us” doesn’t hold back on action and drama, and the latest trailer only intensifies our excitement for what’s to come in this next chapter.

“The Last of Us” is based on the critically acclaimed video game series from Naughty Dog, which took the gaming world by storm upon its debut in 2013. The first season on MAX shattered streaming records, drawing over 4.7 million viewers for its premiere episode and averaging a staggering 32 million viewers per episode. With numbers like that, it’s no surprise that fans have been eagerly awaiting the next chapter.
Now, Season 2 is set to dive headfirst into “The Last of Us Part II”, and if the first season is anything to go by, MAX is poised to deliver not only breathtaking adaptations of the game’s most pivotal moments but also fresh new details that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. Given the sheer scale of the second game’s story, this next season and probably the third will split the events of the second game. One area that might be upsetting about this second season is that we are getting fewer episodes this time around than we did for season one. Going from nine episodes to seven has us wondering if each episode will be like a mini movie instead of an ongoing series? One thing’s for sure: “The Last of Us” is far from over.
We’ll keep you updated on all things “THE LAST OF US” as usual so keep it here at MacabreDaily for the goods.
