Mia Goth Being Sued For Kicking Background Actor In The Head On 'MAXXXINE'
We know some of you out there would love to get abused by Mia Goth but hold your horses and britches cuz this seems to be serious. News has come our way via Variety that Goth is being sued by a background actor on from her latest film ‘MAXXXINE’ for intentionally kicking them in the head during filming.
The site reports: James Hunter claims that he suffered a concussion after Goth kicked him during production on the A24 sequel “MaXXXine.” The film is the third in a trilogy of horror films directed by Ti West and starring Goth, following “X” and “Pearl,” both of which were released in 2022.
The site continues: In the lawsuit, Hunter states that he was hired for three days of work to play the role of “Dead Parishioner.” On the first night of shooting, he lay on the ground for several hours covered in fake blood, “enduring ants and mosquitoes.”
It looks as though the scene in question was to have Goth run past the actor on the ground and look at him or step over him at some point and on the fourth take, after concerns were brought to Goth by the assistant director that she was getting too close to kicking the actor, Goth deliberately kicked him in the head with her boot. After the scene was completed, Hunter alleges that he was in the bathroom when Goth came in and “taunted, mocked and belittled” him, daring him to do anything about it.
The suit accuses Goth of battery and also includes a wrongful termination claim against A24, Goth and West.
We’ll keep ya posted on any more news regarding this suit or MAXXXINE as usual.
